Former Winifred Holtby student, Simon came to Hull College to study Catering after leaving school at the age of 16. He completed the NVQ level 2 Food Preparation and Cooking, NVQ level 2 in Food Service, Basic Food Hygiene, Basic Health and Safety, and an NVQ in Bakery. Simon is now employed in London's famous Le Caprice restaurant as an assistant chef.
“After completing the Practical Professional Catering course I progressed onto the NVQ level 3 Kitchen and Larder course.
“It was great studying Catering at Hull College. I particularly enjoyed being part of the College team that worked at the Commonwealth Games where we were catering for the BBC, Cadburys, Microsoft, and over 5000 people from 72 countries!”
