20 year old Rachel has successfully achieved A grades for A Level Psychology, Sociology and Biology! Despite having a baby at 16, she gained six GCSEs at South Hunsley School before taking a break from studying to spend time with her baby girl, Angel.
When Angel was two and a half years old Rachel decided to return to learning and enrolled on an A Level programme at Hull College, arranging for her daughter to be cared for in one of the College's childcare centres.
“My tutors were great and I've also made lots of friends at Hull College and built up a good support network. My main priority was to make sure Angel had the attention and care she needed. My family have been very supportive, and Angel has been wonderful, she even pinned my coursework to the wall to encourage me. Now, I'm looking forward to a positive future for both of us.”
