An interest in art and a family history of the motor trade led Carol to Hull College's motor vehicle workshop. Enrolling for the three year City and Guilds 3980 course in vehicle body refinishing in 1999, Carol completed the course in June 2002.
“I have two children but my tutors at the College were great and let me take a flexible approach to my studies when I needed to.
“We had a family garage and I used to run a filling station so I have always been interested in motor vehicles. I am very arty as well so the paint-finishing courses really appealed to me. I used to really admire people who had the skills to refinish and decorate cars.”
Due to her commitment and conscientious approach to her work Carol is now a Hull College lecturer.
