Joanne studied on the one year Edexcel (Btec) First Diploma in Public Services. The course is ideal for careers in the Police, Armed Forces, Probation, Security, Customs and Excise, Coastguards, Fire and Ambulance Service.

We studied units in Fitness Leadership Skills, Introduction to Public Service Work, Public Service and Society, Sports and Recreation, and Land Navigation Skills. I also had a fantastic work placement at RAF Leconfield where I went up with the Sea King rescue helicopter on some of their exercises!”
