Students can now benefit from some of the very best resources in the country.
The Horncastle building boasts a 200 seat working theatre which is now up and open for business, our students are busy rehearsing for their musical and drama performances ready for you to come along and enjoy a show. If a career in broadcasting appeals then the Media suites, drama studios, working radio suite and TV studio are designed to offer the best possible start to a career in the media industry.
Love food, interested in catering? Visit Charlotte's Restaurant. Here students practise their skills whilst providing mouth-watering meals for students and the general public alike. Special theatre suppers are available during some performances - call in and ask for details.
The new Chesters building houses an impressive Learning Resource Centre which is open throughout the day and early evening. You can drop in and use the IT facilities to catch up on course work or browse the Internet. A range of fiction titles are available to complement the course handbooks in the library.
Student Services are also located in the Chesters building. Here you can find a range of information and support from course information to financial help.
The Maxwell Bird building contains the latest in technology to support students who have a visual impairment or who are deaf or hard of hearing. This impressive suite of rooms even has its own dog pound, and a patio area for students to enjoy.
The Queen's Gardens campus also houses: The Good Travel agency, Browns Books, construction workshops, engineering workshops, hair and beauty therapy salons, catering kitchens, and science labs, plus many more ‘simulated work environments*’ where students can practise their skills before entering employment.
The site is also the base for students who are taking A/AS level and GCSE programmes, Access courses and languages.
* These facilities copy industry standard machinery and equipment where students can develop confidence before progressing into work.
