Situated at the Cannon Street Centre, the Hull College Motor Vehicle, Fabrication and Welding Centre is one of the best equipped automotive training providers in the region.

Options range from full-time, part-time days, block release, evenings or - at some times of the year Saturdays too, you'll be spoilt for choice./p>

Experienced staff use brand new technologies to develop skills in all areas of motor vehicle engineering, working with vehicles ranging from cars and HGVs to motorbikes. Students are able to train in a wide range of disciplines including motor vehicle repair, fabrication and welding, vehicle re-finishing and vehicle body repair.

Divided into two areas, the extensive range of facilities includes:

Motor Vehicle and Mechanical Engineering Workshop

Matching latest industry standards, the main workshop houses the vehicle body repair/spray shop, a fabrication and welding workshop, a mechanical workshop including the latest technology in MOT testing, repair and inspection, plus classrooms and ICT suites.

Teaching Block

Students are guaranteed to be impressed with the specialist work areas. Purpose built workshops for motorcycles and small component engineering ensure skill levels are optimised. Other facilities include state of the art classrooms and an ICT suite. There's also space for relaxing between training sessions in the student social area which can be adapted for industry events.
