Transfer of activities at Harrogate College from Leeds Metropolitan University to Hull College

SUMMARY OF PROPOSAL
THE LEARNING AND SKILLS COUNCIL
Harrogate College, Hornbeam Park, Harrogate, HG2 8QT

The Learning and Skills Council (the Council) hereby gives notice of the proposal to transfer the responsibilities for the activities of Harrogate College from Leeds Metropolitan University to Hull College. The transfer will include the property, rights and liabilities associated with the College.

The transfer of activities is proposed at the request of the Board of Governors of Leeds Metropolitan University in order that Harrogate College, to achieve its full potential, will be better served by being wholly within the further education sector.

It is proposed that the activities, property, rights and liabilities of Harrogate College should be transferred to the corporation of Hull College.

The transfer will take place by 1 August 2008.

A copy of the proposal and consultation document is available on the LSC website or free of charge from the Learning and Skills Council and will be sent to any person who requests it.
